Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and HustleNumbers ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the website at hustlenumbers.com, including all calculators, generators, content, and embeddable widgets (collectively, the "Site"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer, each incorporated by reference.
2. The service
The Site provides free, browser-based calculators and document generators for freelancers, online sellers, gig workers, and small-business owners. The tools run in your browser and perform estimates based on the figures you enter and on rate or fee data compiled from third-party and government sources. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.
3. Not professional advice
The Site is for general informational and educational purposes only and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, or investment advice. Use of the Site does not create any professional or fiduciary relationship. You should obtain advice from a licensed CPA, EA, attorney, or qualified financial professional before acting. 4. No warranty
THE SITE AND ALL CALCULATIONS, FIGURES, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Rates, fees, and prices change and may be out of date.
5. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL HustleNumbers OR ITS OPERATORS, OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERROR, INACCURACY, OR MISCALCULATION, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, TAXES, PENALTIES, INTEREST, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE — WHETHER SUCH LOSSES ARISE NOW OR IN THE FUTURE AND WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
6. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for independently verifying any figure and for any decision or filing you make.
- You will not rely on the Site as your sole basis for any tax, financial, pricing, or legal decision.
- You will use the Site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system; (c) use automated means to scrape or overload the Site in a way that harms its operation; (d) misrepresent the Site's outputs as professional advice; or (e) use the Site to violate any law or third-party right.
8. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, and original code are owned by HustleNumbers or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Site for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, republish, or create derivative works from the Site's content except as expressly permitted (including the embeddable widgets described below) or as allowed by law.
9. Embeddable widgets
Where we offer embeddable calculator widgets, you may embed them on your own website subject to any embed terms we provide, including a requirement to retain the "Powered by HustleNumbers" attribution link. We may modify or withdraw widgets at any time and are not responsible for how third-party sites display or use them.
10. Third-party links, ads, and affiliates
The Site may contain advertising and links to third-party websites, products, or services, some of which may be affiliate links. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or practices, and inclusion of any link or ad does not imply endorsement. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HustleNumbers and its operators, owners, and contributors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date will change. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the laws of the U.S. state in which the HustleNumbers operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Except for claims that may be brought in small-claims court, you agree to resolve disputes in the courts located where the operator is established and consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
