Referral fee

How this is calculated

Amazon charges sellers a referral fee on each sale — a percentage of the item's sale price that varies by product category, with a minimum fee per item. This calculator applies the category-specific referral rate to your sale price and subtracts the fee plus your item cost to show estimated net profit. FBA fulfillment and storage fees are not included. All math runs locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

What is an Amazon referral fee?

A category-based percentage commission Amazon charges on the sale. This tool estimates referral fees from the verified category table. It does not model FBA fulfillment, storage, or closing fees.

Why is FBA excluded?

Fulfillment fees are tiered by size and weight and change on Amazon’s schedule. Modeling them without a verified primary table would risk wrong numbers — so referral-only is intentional and disclosed on the page.

Where should I verify the live rate?

Use Amazon Seller Central’s referral fee schedule for your category. The calculator shows the verification date for the table it uses.
